What you'll need:
A ball or puck, a hockey stick. This drill can be done in skates or shoes.

Stand with your feet comfortably apart with the knees bent and elbows out.

Move the puck/ball (Pee-Wee) side-to-side directly in front of you, keeping it centered on the blade and cupping it to keep in control. No thwacking, work on being silky-smooth, not spastically drastic.

Move side-to-side 5 or 10 times and then move to a 45º angle off of your front hip. Repeat 5 or 10 times and then move directly to your side for another set of 5 - 10. Then take the puck/ball slightly behind and angled off of your hip for another rep and then toe-drag the puck/ball into your opposite foot instep and kick it out to the front to your waiting stick.

Repeat the whole maneuver turning the other way.

When your comfortable doing this try to keep your head up and looking around. Imagine finding teammates, open net and avoiding opponents.

Variations:
Instead of sweeping the puck/ball side-to-side try moving it heel-to-toe.

Also you can toe-drag it into your feet each time and kick it back out to your stickblade. Try pulling it into your instep and also to the outside of the foot closest to the puck/ball.
