The purpose of this email is to allow all national federations to know the location and dates of the FIRS World Inline Roller Hockey Championships for 2008.

Two Special Points of interest: (특이사항)
1. The Junior World Championship maximum age has returned to being 18 years of age, not yet 19 years as of January 1, 2008. The Junior World Championships Bulletin will provide special details.

2. The Senior Men World Championships of 2008 in Dusseldorf will be the qualifier for the selection of the five (5) top placing inline hockey teams eligible to compete in the 2009 IOC sponsored World Games, scheduled for July 2009 in Chinese Taipei (Taiwan). The sixth participating team will be that of Chinese Taipei, a concession to it being the hosting country. The IWGA quadrennial World Games is a multi-sport assembly from all over the world which includes those designated International Federation sport disciplines that are not yet Olympic participants. It is endorsed and supported by the International Olympic Committee, the General Assembly of International Sports Federation and the International World Games Association.
독일 뒤셀도르프에서의 시니어 남자 2008 세계선수권대회에서는 2009년 7월에 중국 대만에서 개최 예정인 IOC 후원의 월드게임 출전권을 위한 상위 5개팀 선정의 예선경기가 치러질 것입니다. 개최국의 특혜를 통해 출전하게 될 대만을 포함하여 총 6개의 팀이 참가하게 될 월드게임은 IWGA(국제세계경기위원회)에 의해 4년마다 개최되는, 아직 올림픽 종목이 되지 않은 전세계 국제 연맹 경기종목들이 참가하는 세계적인 스포츠 대회입니다. 월드게임은 IOC(국제올림픽위원회)가 보증하고 후원하며, ISF(국제경기연맹)과 IWGA(국제세계경기위원회)의 총회입니다.
